Mrs. Gagnon - Principal

Welcome to KCMS! I am so excited to have you join our Ken Caryl Family and for trusting us to educate your most valuable treasures!
This is my seventh year at KCMS. The first four years I served as an assistant principal. I came from Douglas County School District where I was a high school social studies teacher, dean of students, and assistant principal. I am excited to get to know each of you and work with the Jeffco community to develop some of the best students in the country.
I am a Colorado native and never plan to leave this great state. When I am not busy with work I love to go camping, boating, and hiking. These activities are even more fun with my wonderful husband, two kids and dogs. When I do leave Colorado, it is to travel to different places around the world learning about other cultures and trying exotic foods. I earned my bachelor's degree in Social Science Education from the University of Northern Colorado and my master's degree in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix.
I'm looking forward to the school year and seeing your kids face to face and watching them grow into young adults. I hope this is a great school year and please know my door is always open!

Hi all, I am Kali Goings. I am so thrilled to be with you and our Spartan family for the upcoming school year!
As a Colorado native, I am very fortunate to have my all of my family nearby. My parents and grandparents are in Morrison, my brother and his wife are back in Colorado after some time in Alaska, and my sister and her husband teach in DPS. When we aren't spending time with family, I try to take advantage of this beautiful state we live in by spending much of our time outdoors with my dog, Athena.
I come from a long line of educators, and I am proud to continue that legacy. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education. I then received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and a K-12 Principal's License from Regis University.
During my nine years as an educator, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade at a Project Based Learning School in Douglas County. As a began working with older students, I realized what a transformational time this was for children and their education. To me, Middle School is the best age to help students unleash what they have to offer their community and the world. I am excited to learn along side the KCMS staff in order to bring authentic and educational experiences to our students.
I feel very honored to be a part of the KCMS community!

Mr. Morgan - Assistant Principal

Welcome to KCMS, and know that I am excited to be a part of an amazing school and community! I hope to become an important part in every student's life as they pass through the halls of KCMS. I am here to support and guide every student through their middle school experience.
This will be my second year at KCMS. Before my time at KCMS, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in History with a Secondary Education concentration and my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I lived in North Carolina and taught social studies and was also an assistant principal. Before teaching, I served in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Carson, CO with the 3rd ACR. I am originally from North Carolina and even thought I may have a bit of a Southern accent, I love being in Colorado and enjoying all that it has to offer. I love being outside and taking in the fresh air, especially in the mountains or on a river with a few rapids. Spending time with my wife, two children and dog are very important and we enjoy traveling and new adventures.

Mrs. Roberts - Assistant Principal

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am personally ready for an amazing year.
I am so excited for my fourth year as a member of the Ken Caryl Spartan family. I could not be happier to be at a school with such a long history of excellence. I enjoy working with middle students whom I know to be curiously engaged in their school. I bring my experience in the classroom and administration to help and support students, teachers and staff to create a stronger school and community. I believe in teaching students that we are a community of learners and that we need to take care of one another. I believe that all students can be successful and have areas that they are strong and areas to develop.
I am a Colorado native, attended Jefferson County Schools from kindergarten through graduation, and graduated from CSU in Family and Consumer Science. Following graduation, I spent 11 years in Douglas County as a FACS teacher and school administrator at the high school level. The last seven years in administration have fulfilled a desire to serve families, students, and community in ways I could not in the classroom. I have always felt my heart belonged to Jefferson County and I love being back home.
I hope to get to know each and every one of you!
